Woman accused of shooting husband after catching him cheating on her, police say
BRYAN, Texas (KBTX/Gray News) - Texas authorities say a woman is under arrest for shooting her husband.
According to the Bryan Police Department, Stephanie Arevalo shot her husband in the leg on Tuesday after he was allegedly caught cheating with another woman.
Police said they were called to a residence regarding the shooting.
Arevalo is accused of threatening to shoot the other woman who was also there at the house.
An arrest report stated that Arevalo was the person who called police after the shooting.
She reportedly told officers her husband deserved it and she knew she was going to jail.
The man shot was not immediately identified by police. He suffered a non-life-threatening wound and was treated and released from the hospital.
Arevalo is facing charges that include aggravated assault and family violence with a deadly weapon.
