JACKSON COUNTY, MI – Despite concerts already being scheduled, a proposed music venue near Jackson is still seeking township approval, and officials need clarification on the property’s zoning.

In a Tuesday, April 16 meeting, the Blackman Township Planning Commission reviewed a site plan for Country Boots & Bands’ proposed temporary concert venue at 2400 W. Michigan Ave. Voting was delayed due to a lack of quorum and because officials had concerns about whether the property’s zoning allowed its proposed use, Planning Commission Chairman Dan Decker said.
