Thursday, April 18th is our next chance for severe thunderstorms.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued level 1 and 2 risks for severe thunderstorms.

These are low-end risks, but if you are under any risk of severe weather on Thursday you should be weather aware.

Severe thunderstorms are storms that are capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail, and tornadoes. The main threat this round will be gust winds and hail. Thankfully the tornado risk is nearly 0% in central Arkansas. Though, a weak tornado is possible in northeastern Arkansas.

The thunderstorms will be along a cold front and will form a line. They will move across Arkansas from northwest to southeast. Most of Thursday will stay dry with the line of thunderstorms arriving in central Arkansas in the late afternoon. The thunderstorms will be out of the state by Friday morning. Below is the latest timing of the thunderstorms.
