TEANECK — A woman trying to cross Route 4 on foot caused a six-vehicle crash in the westbound lanes on Saturday at 9:47 a.m.

Deputy Police Chief Seth Kriegel said department officers and the Teaneck Fire Department responded to the collision.

The pedestrian was stopped, but her identity and any possible charges were not released.

Kriegel said one vehicle occupant was taken by Bergen Hatzalah to Hackensack University Medical Center. Another vehicle occupant was taken to Holy Name by the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

Further details will be provided the Bergen County Sheriff's Office, which handles motor vehicle crash investigations on Route 4, Kriegel said.
