Robert Sietsema has had 30 years of experience as a restaurant critic, 20 of those at the Village Voice, the last 10 at Eater New York. He has also worked for Gourmet, the New York Times, and the Columbia Journalism Review. He has been a finalist for a James Beard Award four times. Prior to these gigs, he was a rock musician, office worker, and book designer. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry and Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and an M.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in English literature.
