ITV's Saturday Night Takeaway fans voiced the same complaint as Take That closed the show on Saturday (April 6). Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen opened the show with their hit song Shine, before returning for what hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly promised would be a spectacular End of the Show Shows.

Fans were left "disappointed as they pointed out one key missing element from the usual End of the Show Shows. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, viewers expressed their thoughts on the performance.

One viewer wrote: "Why didn't ant and dec Partake in the song like they have every other week #SaturdayNightTakeAway," while another added: "Super disappointed by that end of the show, show. Far better when they are properly part of the act and its full of energy. #antanddec #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

A third chimed in: "Worst end of the show show ever! #SaturdayNightTakeaway." A fourth added: "Very disappointed I didn't get to sing Never Forget tonight like... missed opportunity #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

Another said: "Zero effort put into that End of Show Show. #SaturdayNightTakeaway" whilst someone else shared: "Take that being totally self indulgent.... sing a medley! #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

Some fans were absolutely thrilled with the performance. One fan expressed their enthusiasm, said: "Loved the performance at the end of the show show," while another chimed in: "That was the best end of the show show in awhile and Take That new song sounds great."

Viewers seemed to enjoy the show despite torn opinions on the End of the Show Show, with young comedian Lenny Rush stealing the show. As master of ceremonies, he started by welcoming Ant and Dec to the stage, as they chatted, he revealed that he had actually met Dec before. He shared a pic of the pair, with Lenny on his transporter and both at an awards bash in their black ties.

In the pic, Dec is posing next to Lenny, but Lenny said Dec was standing up in the photo, despite their very differing heights. The joke, and Lenny's subsequent quick wit, went down a storm with viewers, with one person saying: "Lenny Rush is comedy gold love him."

Ant and Dec have announced that they will conclude this series with a grand two-hour live finale before taking a hiatus from the format, reports the Mirror. Ant has previously shared: "Part of the reason we're pausing Takeaway is we need a break ourselves, and we need to spend some time with our family. We've both got children that we need to spend time with for a little bit."

"We need time to think and, and time to step back and look at the bigger picture and just see where we are now. Like I say, we're turning 49, and what do we want to do next? What's the next phase of our career? And we've got lots of ideas and lots of offers on the table, lots of options of things we can do. But it's working on what we do next and where the next chapter begins. So that's what we're gonna do when SNT is out of the way. We'll sit down, take a bit of time, and re-evaluate everything."
