ROCHESTER — Bob Hopkins followed Olmsted County Board Chairwoman Sheila Kiscaden’s retirement announcement with notice that he plans to seek a chance to fill the remaining two years of her term.

“I look forward to building on the legacy of Sheila Kiscaden’s strong record of dedicated public service to the Olmsted and Rochester communities,” Hopkins said in announcing his plans to run for the District 6 seat on the.County Board.

The owner of Allegra Marketing Print Mail in Rochester and Red Wing said he wants to focus on efforts to engage all communities to ensure they see mutual benefits from anticipated growth.

“The one thing we know for certain is that Rochester and its surrounding communities in Olmsted County are facing a time of growth,” he said. “I will work with my Olmsted County Commission colleagues to ensure that our path to growth and development is open to every voice.

“This includes neighborhoods and businesses, underserved and immigrant communities, the healthcare community, and many others that have a stake in the outcome of Olmsted County projects, programs, and investments.”
