One of the victims killed in Sydney's horrifying mass stabbing on Saturday had just bought her wedding dress, it has emerged.
Dawn Singleton was one of the six victims who died after being stabbed by a knifeman at the Westfield shopping centre in Bondi on Saturday afternoon. The 25-year-old was described as a "sweet, kind-hearted person" with "her whole life ahead of her" by clothing brand White Fox, for whom she worked in one of their stores.
According to her online presence, Ms Singleton had studied a degree in communications at the University of Technology Sydney. She was the daughter of an 82-year-old advertising businessman in the city.
Recently-engaged Ms Singleton has only just sent out 'save the date' invites and purchased her wedding dress, according to MailOnline. She was due to marry high school sweetheart Ashley Wildey, a police office for NSW Police, in the coming months.
Five women and one man were killed in the rampage on Saturday, before the knifeman - named as 40-year-old Joel Cauchi - was shot dead by lone police officer Amy Scott. Mum Ashlee Good, 38, was also named as the mother killed in the attack who had been trying to save her nine-month-old baby at the time. The baby was also injured and has since undergone surgery.
White Fox Boutique released a tribute to Ms Singleton on Instagram following the tragic news. “Over the weekend we lost not only an employee of White Fox but someone special to us who felt like a family member,” the statement said.
“We are all truly devastated by this loss. Dawn was a sweet, kind hearted person who had her whole life ahead of her. She was really amazing. We send our love & deepest condolences to her partner, the Singleton family & her friends. She will always be remembered as part of the White Fox family.”
A statement obtained by Australia ’s national broadcaster ABC from victim Ashlee Good’s family said: “Today we are reeling from the terrible loss of Ashlee, a beautiful mother, daughter, sister, partner, friend, all-round outstanding human, and so much more. We appreciate the well wishes and thoughts of members of the Australian public who have expressed an outpouring of love for Ashlee and our baby girl.”
The statement continued: “We can report that after hours of surgery yesterday, our baby is currently doing well. We are so grateful for the expert care and attention of the medical team at Sydney Children’s Hospital.” NSW police commissioner Karen Webb said in a press conference that a man in his 30s killed in the attack was a security guard at the shopping centre.

The man was identified as Faraz Tahir by the Australian Pakistani National Association, which labelled Mr Tahir as “courageous” on social media. “Let us stand together in solidarity, offering support and prayers to those grieving and affected by this heartbreaking loss,” the statement said.
Three other women, aged between 20 and 55, died in the shopping centre. Police said two of the victims are from overseas with no family in Australia. Police said they are attempting to contact their families. Flowers have been laid by members of the public in Sydney, paying tribute to those who were killed, injured and affected by the attack.
