Auburn quarterback discusses his plans regarding the transfer portal

The Auburn quarterback room will continue to be a huge story this offseason.

Auburn football's roster will change next week, like every other team in college football, when the transfer portal opens on April 16.

In this modern era of college football, it's more common to see a player not be named a starter at one school and use that opportunity to find another team by entering the transfer portal.

For Auburn quarterback Hank Brown, that hasn't even crossed his mind. He discussed the transfer portal and how happy he is at Auburn on Locked On Auburn.

"Honestly, it hasn't even crossed my mind," Brown said when asked about the transfer portal opening next week. "I'm Auburn through and through. I love Auburn. I think that I'm in a great situation here. The coaches here are phenomenal."

Brown has been outspoken about his faith and his relationship with Hugh Freeze. Brown was committed to Freeze when he was at Liberty and then flipped to Auburn when Freeze was named Auburn's head coach.

"A part that I obviously love is the football side of it," Freeze said. "Their knowledge to help me develop and help this team get to where we want to be but I think the off-the-field stuff is big for me. A lot of these guys are men of faith and that's something that I really look up to and get to learn a lot from. Obviously, Coach Freeze is also a really strong man of his faith so it's really cool to be alongside them each and every day."

Brown went 5-12 for 103 yards in Auburn's A-Day game.

"I love Auburn and I think this is where I'm meant to be, for sure."
