U.S. Senate Leaders Charles “Chuck” Schumer, D-N.Y., and Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, introduced a joint senate resolution today calling for the Taliban to immediately release a Dansville man who has been held hostage for more than 600 days and condemning the wrongful detention of Americans by the Taliban.

“It is time to put the Taliban’s violent rule on notice. It is time to show our enemies, the U.S. will not let American citizens be used as bargaining chips. It is time to bring Ryan Corbett home,” McConnell, the Senate Minority Leader, said in remarks on the Senate floor.
