Grass fire burns at least 100 acres in Taft

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern County firefighters are working to put out a grass fire Friday afternoon near Taft.

Fire crews were called to Gas Company and Gardner Field roads in Taft just before noon.

‘The Bakersfield Three’ podcast by former KGET reporter downloaded over 10 million times

Kern County Fire Department Public Information Officer Jonathan Drucker said the crews are making progress on containing it.
