A months-long investigation led police to raid a Waterford home where they allegedly found an illegal firearm, fentanyl, cocaine and other substances.

Investigators searched a home on Wild Rose Avenue — which is within 1,500 feet of a school — and found a 28-year-old local man was allegedly operating a drug factory, according to the Waterford Police Department.

Officers executed a search warrant on Thursday after multiple reports of possible “drug activity” at the home led to a lengthy investigation, police said.

Inside the home, they allegedly found fentanyl, cocaine, mushrooms, marijuana, packaging and scales for drug sales, a firearm without a serial number and nearly $5,000 in cash, according to police.

Jordan Strickland was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of fentanyl with intent to sell, possession of mushrooms with intent to sell, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession within 1,500 feet of a school, risk of injury to a minor and other charges.

Strickland is facing a total of 14 criminal charges related to the search and was released $100,000 bond, records show.

He is scheduled to appear in court on April 23, police said.

Anyone with information on the investigation is asked to contact Waterford police at 860-442-9451 or use the department’s anonymous tip line at 860-437-8080 or www.waterfordpolice.org.
