Deadly three-vehicle crash in Lancaster County under investigation

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– Police are investigating a deadly three-vehicle crash in Lancaster County that caused traffic to be detoured for hours early Monday morning.

Northwest Regional Police said a crash with entrapment happened along Hershey Road (SR 0743) between Route 283 and Beverly Road in Mount Joy Township at 7:14 a.m.

Once officers arrived they discovered there were three vehicles involved, and one of the drivers was unresponsive.

Police said that CPR was performed before they were taken to the hospital where they later died.

The identity of the deceased was not released, and police did not specify in the release the type of vehicles or if there were any other injuries.

The crash caused the road to be closed for several hours as the Northwest Crash team investigated, police said.
