The former president of a company that provides moving and storage services and the head bookkeeper have been found guilty for criminal tax conspiracy, the Justice Department said.

After a two-week trial before US District Judge Mary Kay Vysckocil, Joseph Eugene Lemay and Joel Lingat were found to have conspired to perpetrate a scheme to evade more than around $7.7 million in federal payroll taxes owed to the IRS, the government said Monday.

They were convicted of one count of conspiracy to defraud the IRS, the DOJ said.
