Bray Wyatt was one of the great talents, with unique creative storylines. He brought a number of gimmicks and segments to the wrestling industry including the “Fiend”, “Eater of the World”, “Firefly Funhouse”, “Uncle Howdy”, “Sister Abigail” and so on.
However, when he was about to start a new storyline with the company, he passed away due to a heart attack. The sudden passing made the entire professional wrestling industry sad, and everyone paid their tribute.
WWE on April 1, 2024, officially released a documentary titled Bray Wyatt: Being Immortal, narrated by Mark Calaway (The Undertaker), involving his career, personal life and interviews with his family & WWE personalities.
Although Wyatt is no more, there was a rumor speculating for a long time that Bo Dallas, Wyatt’s Brother, who played The Uncle Howdy Character will continue his storyline. Now, it seems like WWE is making the rumors true by teasing Uncle Howdy’s potential WWE return.
Uncle Howdy Return Tease
On the latest episode (April 12, 2024) of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE dropped major hints on Uncle Howdy’s potential return. WWE played the “Nightbird” haunting music by Marti Amado, with turning off the lights and making the SmackDown logo glitch into a black & white version, like the old television.
Following that a blurred pop-up appeared on television during Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill vs Chelsea Green & Piper Niven’s match, saying “you forgot about us”
These ongoing teases and visuals made the WWE Universe speculate it could be the return of Bo Dallas to WWE return as Uncle Howdy. It is rumored around the internet that his return may involve some kind of a connection to his brother Bray Wyatt’s (Windham Rotunda) legacy.
The hints were similar to how Bray Wyatt hinted at his WWE return in 2022. Where a mystery box, rabbit and a QR code was placed between the shows, to spice up the things and hint at his return. Wyatt on his final run came with a brand new gimmick “Uncle Howdy”, who is a masked character, which played mind games with Wyatt and emotionally controlled him. Since it is similar to that, WWE fans expect more teases in the upcoming weeks and are eager to solve what the teases hint.
