John Edward Laudick, known to most as Ed was born July 14,1936 in Hutchinson, Kansas. Ed was the oldest of 4 children born to John E Laudick and Martha Washington Laudick (Allen) and passed into God’s hands on March 17, 2024, at the age of 87 in Sun City, Arizona.

Ed is survived by his son Randy Laudick and daughter Lynn Stewart. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Tyler Laudick, Tara Laudick, Alex Stewart & Ryan Stewart. He is preceeded in death by his wife of 51 years Jeanne Marie Laudick.

In 1972 Ed & Jeanne started Alpine Manufacturing in their basement. In the following 24 years their hard work and dedication grew Alpine into a wide serving company with over 100 employees. In 1996 Jeanne & Ed chose to sell the company and enjoy a well-deserved retirement.

Outside of professional life Ed had a passion for travel, developed during his various station posts while serving in the US Army. Fishing and golf were also passions. Ed enjoyed many, many, trips abroad and many a day spent on the banks of a lake or river or in a boat with his fishing rods.

Ed will be remembered as a fun & loving parent to whom his children could always turn to for advice, as well as a grandfather & friend. His spirit will be cherished by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

A memorial service for both Ed & Jeanne is planned for April 13 in Sun City Arizona. In lieu of flowers the family appreciates your donation to an animal rescue organization of your choice.
