Steelers' James Harrison Pulls April Fools Joke

The Pittsburgh Steelers legend is returning to a different team?

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers legend James Harrison is returning to football? But not the Steelers? Not even the NFL?

The Hall of Fame candidate was part of an April Fools joke this year and had fans from multiple leagues wondering if a superstar was headed overseas while returning to football. Working alongside his former European League team, Harrison had an announcement drop on Instagram, welcoming him back to the Rhein Fire after 20 years of being away.

"Thrilled to announce the return of former NFL Linebacker James Harrison for the 2024 season! After 20 years, he’s back in Europe, rejoining the Rhein Fire where he played in 2003," the post read.

Harrison played for the Fire in 2003 prior to making his run in the NFL. Obviously, he's not actually returning, but for those who believe he could still make noise in the NFL, imagine what havoc he could reak overseas.
