Get ready to embark on a musical journey through the enchanting world of Disney as the Arkansas Valley Wind & Percussion Ensemble takes the stage at 7 p.m. April 30 at Lamar High School. Presented by the Southeast Colorado Concert Association, this event promises an evening filled with captivating melodies and beloved Disney classics.

For more than four decades, SECCA has been dedicated to bringing affordable, world-class performances to the community. Despite facing financial challenges during the pandemic, the association, with the unwavering support of community leaders like Rotary President Judy Turpin, rallied various organizations to ensure the continuation of their mission.

The upcoming concert, generously supported by local organizations, including the Rotary, Lion’s Club, and Laureate Rho, features the talented musicians of the Arkansas Valley Wind & Percussion Ensemble. During the course of the evening, they will bring to life the magical sounds of 70 years of Disney classics with their chosen theme, “Disney in Concert.”

Families and Disney enthusiasts alike are invited to join in the fun, and children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Disney characters. From timeless classics to modern favorites, attendees can expect to hear iconic tunes that have captured hearts for generations. In a heartwarming gesture to foster community engagement, admission to the event is completely free of charge. This initiative aims to make the joy of music and the magic of Disney accessible to all.
