SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The Notre Dame football team will play in its annual Blue-Gold Game this Saturday, and today we learned the rosters for the two teams.

Prior to the Blue-Gold Draft, seniors were assigned to each team. The Blue team is coached by defensive line coach Al Washington while the Gold team is coached by running backs coach Deland McCullough.

Quarterback Steve Angeli was the first overall selection for the game, followed by quarterback Kenny Minchey. Freshman CJ Carr will play for both sides.

During today’s draft, it was announced that highly touted transfer Riley Leonard will not play in the Blue-Gold Game as he continues to recover from two ankle surgeries this offseason.

It was also announced that during warmups the team will wear a purple Notre Dame shirt with scripture (Romans 15:13) on the back in honor of cornerback Jaden Mickey’s mother, Nilka Mickey, who passed away from colon cancer this past December.
