Rosamund Pike channeled the prettiest season at Tuesday night’s Brooklyn Artists Ball, at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City.
The Saltburn star was among the artists and Hollywood stars who attended the celebration with Dior, dressed head to toe in romantic creations by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Kim Jones.
Staying true to her own sophisticated style, Pike opted for a fresh version of the fashion house’s classic skirt suit; this one composed instead of a jacket and a dress, both in a sugar-white hue, from the Cruise 2024 collection.
The short wool jacket has a delicate rounded collar and edges, as well as abstract illustrations of butterflies embroidered in white string throughout. The round buttons are also crafted from knotted white string, giving the piece an elevated nautical air.
The dress, meanwhile, screams springtime. In bright white silk taffeta with a slight sheen, the piece parallels the jacket’s butterfly iconography. Its pretty poplin skirt is adorned with earth-tone illustrations of the colorful insects flying around a garden as well as caterpillars crawling on leaves.
The butterfly motif has a notable presence throughout Dior’s cruise collection. Ahead of the show, held in Mexico City, Chiuri explained on Instagram that she gathered inspiration from the symbolism of Papilionoidea and “their impact on European and Central American culture, in art history and in fashion.”
The actor finished the look with nude Dior heels, silver butterfly drop earrings dotted with white pearls, and a matching silver butterfly ring. Her hair was styled in a ballerina bun and she looked lovely in blush makeup.
Other celebrities who wore Dior to the event included Naomi Watts and Swizz Beatz, the latter who performed at the after-party.
