Plane makes ‘belly landing’ at Statesville Regional Airport, no injuries reported
IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A plan made a “belly landing” Monday afternoon at the Statesville Regional Airport, officials confirmed with Queen City News.
A Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft made the belly landing on Runway 28 at the Statesville Regional Airport, SVH, at approximately 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 15.
Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.

According to FlightAware, the Beechcraft 35 Bonanza (BE35) took off at 11:39 a.m. from Knoxville Downtown Island, DKX, before landing at SVH at 12:34 p.m.
The total flight was less than an hour. As a precaution, the airport is closed until 3 p.m.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident, according to the City of Statesville.
