Two earthquakes hit NC minutes apart

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, there two earthquakes in Lowgap. The first earthquake happened Saturday at 11:48 p.m., and the second earthquake happened just minutes later at 12:22 a.m.

There were two earthquakes overnight in North Carolina, just minutes apart.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, there were two earthquakes in Lowgap. The first earthquake happened Saturday at 11:48 p.m., and the second earthquake happened just minutes later at 12:22 a.m.

The first earthquake had a magnitude of 2.3, and the second one was a 1.5 magnitude earthquake.

Both were very weak, so it's unlikely that many people felt either of the quakes.
