Lions GM Brad Holmes may not make pick in NFL draft Round 1. It's probably the right call.

It’s late Thursday night in downtown Detroit. Tens of thousands of rabid Detroit Lions fans who have been waiting all day, all week, and for two years start to cheer and yell as Roger Goodell walks onto the NFL draft stage for the big announcement.

“The Detroit Lions have traded the 29th pick to the Minnesota Vikings,” the NFL commissioner announces as the crowd collectively gasps. “With the 29th pick in the 2024 NFL draft, the Minnesota Vikings select Nate Wiggins, defensive back, Clemson.”
