A 63-year-old man was pronounced dead after suffering an injury in the 3500 block of West Fillmore Street.
The city pumping station is located on Fillmore Street.
Chicago police said the man was working and suffered an injury slightly after 9 a.m., and was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was identified as Byron Connor of San Antonio, DE, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
No other injuries were reported.
Detectives are conducting a death investigation, pending autopsy results.
