The annual legacy of leadership event for the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia is now under a month away.
On Thursday, a decision was made to see which of their cookies will be turned into a menu item for next month's event.
The chef at the Hyatt Savannah created three dishes inspired by Americans' favorite cookies. The options were two parfaits, one based on the Samoas, another on the Lemon-Ups, and a French toast inspired by the Tagalongs.
WJCL 22 news' Lydia Blackstone and Kyron Neveaux had the honor of participating in the dessert selection.
The purpose of the event is to connect the scouts with organization supporters.
"It takes a community to make big things happen," said Girl Scouts marketing director Chelsea Simpson. "These Girl Scouts are growing up and going on to become our small business owners, mayors, and senators. That takes a community to grow. So everybody coming together for this event is a symbol of that."
The winning item will be revealed at the breakfast in May.
