A woman has been arrested on suspicion of robbery following an incident at a Co-Op store in Colne.
At around 8.00am this morning, a woman threatened staff in the store with an imitation firearm, demanding cash from the shop assistants and cashiers.
She was ejected from the store by one of the workers and the imitation firearm has since been recovered.
A police spokesperson said: “Earlier today we asked for your help in identifying a suspect after a robbery at the Co-Op store in Market Street, Colne.
“To update you, a 34-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and is currently in custody.”
