Groundbreaking to begin for new Mid-Michigan science laboratory

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Construction is set to begin on a new science laboratory in Mid-Michigan.

The state will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday for the new State Public Health and Environmental Science Lab, which will be located at the State Secondary Complex in Dimondale.

The facility will provide laboratory space for the Departments of Health and Human Services, Environment, Great Lakes and Energy, and Labor and Economic Development.

Groundbreaking begins at 1 p.m.
