Deadpool and Wolverine Will Reportedly Feature a Scene in Theatres That Teases Avengers: Secret Wars - Deadpool & Wolverine

Editor's note: This article contains potential spoilers for Deadpool & Wolverine.

Deadpool & Wolverine, the highly anticipated movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will reportedly feature an Avengers: Secret Wars teaser when the movie hits the theatres. The upcoming movie will be the only MCU movie coming in 2024, and there are plenty of cameos expected to be part of the movie, it seems like the movie will do its part to set up the Avengers: Secret Wars movie which is slated for a release on May 7, 2027.

New footage from Deadpool & Wolverine was recently showcased at CinemaCon and The Hollywood Reporter has noted that the introduction clip is also going to be played in theatres. The footage was reportedly shown before sequences from the movie were displayed, and it featured Avengers: Secret Wars as well as Hugh Jackman's Wolverine breaking the fourth wall.

There was another clip shown at CinemaCon (not part of the opening footage mentioned above), which featured a key scene that may tease Avengers: Secret Wars even further. In this clip, Chris Hemsworth's Thor was crying over the body of a dying Deadpool. TVA agent Paradox tells Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool that what he saw is from a “distant future” and Deadpool was not supposed to see it. It sounds like a glimpse into Deadpool’s future in Avengers: Secret Wars.

None of these details has received official confirmation, and that is unlikely to happen since the MCU is known to keep its audience guessing so that there are no spoilers and surprises that ruin other people’s experience of the movie. Since this is unconfirmed, we advise taking this information with a grain of salt.
