Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana hired a new vice president of philanthropy.
The nonprofit that serves youth in Lake and Porter counties named Denise Koebcke to the position. She has extensive experience in youth development and nonprofit leadership.
“We are excited to have Denise on board and joining our senior leadership team. Having a non-profit background, she has the expertise and community relations that are a perfect fit for this position,” said Mike Jessen, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana.
Koebcke is currently the president and CEO of The Caring Place. She's a nominee for a 2024 Northwest Indiana Influential Women Award and the recipient of many awards like the Prevent Child Abuse Hero for Children Award, the Porter Starke Services Foundation Community Impact Award, and the Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce Celebrating Our Everyday Heroes Award.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana has served youth in grades K-12 for the last 60 years. It provides them with safe, supervised places to hang out and do homework after school, on holidays and in the summer.
It operates clubs in Cedar Lake, Chesterton, East Chicago, Hammond, Gary, Lake Station, Merrillville, South Haven, Portage and Valparaiso. It offers a number of after-school programs, including tutoring, help with homework, college readiness programs, college application assistance and aviation classes.
