Families looking for a new pet now have the option to bring dogs home for a trial run.
The program, called Adoption Audition, is basically a trial adoption for shelter pets. At this time, only dogs are included in the program.
Residents looking to adopt a pet can see if it's a good fit through bringing the pet home for a trial period before they commit . This allows potential adopters to see if the match is a good fit and there are no strings attached. People looking to bring a pet into their home have a five day trial period. After that time a team from the Animal Shelter will make contact to see if the person wants to follow through with an adoption or return the pet to the shelter.

DOGS
Tiger
Male: 9 years old
Meet our majestic friend weighing in at 84 lbs - Tiger! This beautiful dog not only has stunning stripes but is also incredibly kind and has been described as a big mush. He has excellent leash manners and will impress you with all his tricks (sit, shake, down and turnaround). Tiger likes going for a walk and will even chase the tennis ball a few times, but he is also a certified couch potato and appreciates a good nap!
Prince
Male: 6 years old
Prince is FULL of love! He loves people and greets everyone with a smile and a wiggly body. He’s the type of dog who will flip over for belly rubs and will paw at you when you stop petting him. Prince loves to play, but also appreciates a good nap in a quiet spot. He would do well in a calm home where he can rest and play as he sees fit.
Rudy
Male: 1 year old
Rudy is a mild-mannered gentleman whose calm and sweet demeanor melts hearts wherever he goes. He’s enjoyed the company of other dogs while in our care and has done great on excursions where he met new friends (including children) with ease. He’s wonderfully affectionate and will make an amazing addition to any home!
RABBITS
Cloud
Female: 1 year old
Cloud's name fits her perfectly - she's soft, fluffy and like a dream! Described by one of our volunteers as a love sponge, Cloud will snuggle right next to you and fall asleep as you pet between her ears. With a proper introduction, she may enjoy another rabbit friend in her new home.
Momma and Handsome
Momma - Female: 3 years old
Handsome - Male: 4 years old
Handsome and Momma are best friends looking for a home together! This duo loves getting all the pets - especially on their head and ears. True to his name, Handsome is a charmer who loves to be around his people. Momma is a bit shy at first, but with some patience and treats, she warms up quickly. Both rabbits even have experience with dogs and got along well with the pups in their previous home!
