(WSYR-TV) — The Syracuse Orchestra is playing the hits! From Mozart to Verdi to Puccini and more, they’ll feature “Opera’s Greatest Hits” tomorrow night at the Civic Center. The talented singers who’ll perform those hits joined us this morning for a preview of the show.
A central part of the mission behind this concert is to shatter the idea that opera is only for the “elite.” Instead, the singers tell us that opera can be for everybody.
The Syracuse Orchestra, recently rebranded from the decade old Symphoria, hosts several concert series every year with a variety of different styles and themes.
