Nighttime shooting in Worcester sends three teens to the hospital

Two young women and a teen boy were injured in a Sunday-night shooting on Clarkson Street.

Worcester police are investigating a Sunday-night shooting that left three teenagers injured. 

Officers responded to Clarkson Street for a report of gunshots around 9:11 p.m. Sunday. At the scene, police found two 18-year-old women and a 17-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wounds, the Worcester Police Department said in a news release

The teens received medical aid from first responders at the scene and were taken to a hospital by ambulance, according to police. Detectives also responded to the area to process the scene and begin a follow-up investigation. 

According to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, stray bullets also struck a nearby home and a parked car. A neighbor who spoke with the newspaper said she heard rapid gunfire, then a revved-up engine leaving the scene.
