First-pitch weather forecast: Rainy, 45 degrees, 90% chance of rain.

Probable pitchers: Tigers RHP Casey Mize (did not pitch in 2023) vs. Mets LHP Adrian Houser (8-5, 4.12 ERA in 2023).

Tigers lineup: TBA.

Game notes: For the second straight day, the Tigers and Mets had their game washed out by rain, pushing the starting pitchers back another day. It further delays the return of Mize, the former No. 1 overall pick who missed all of last season with injuries. He successfully emerged from spring training winning one of the last spots in the rotation. Mize was 3-1 with a 2.21 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP over 20⅓ innings in Florida.
