Ex-NYPD inspector rips misleading FBI books hiding true crime statistics

.

A former New York City Police Department inspector derided the FBI under President Joe Biden for allegedly cooking its books and misleading the nation about true crime statistics.

“You only have about 63% of the country that’s even covered by these numbers, and what the media does is they generally find some salient point that works for them,” former NYPD inspector Paul Mauro told Jesse Watters of Fox News on Monday.

“They hammer it, hammer it, hammer it,” he added. “You and I know how this works, right? It goes out to all the Biden proxies, and they lead with that story, and they hope that everybody’s eyes glaze over numbers and numbers. Nobody really cares.”

Murders have increased across 70 cities by 23% since 2019, and in Milwaukee, the FBI reported a 13% drop in robberies compared to the 7% increase reported by Milwaukee police, according to reporting from the Washington Examiner.

This apparent misleading is good for former President Donald Trump and the Republicans because it shows why the FBI cannot be trusted, according to Mauro.

“People know what they see and hear, and the reality is … since 2019, we are up,” Mauro said. “If you take, for instance, the murder number, which, generally, the analysts like to use as the metric, we are up at our highest number for last year in aggregate murder numbers since 1996.”

This is no coincidence because broken windows policing really began to take hold in 1996, according to Mauro.

“We’re up about 12% since Joe Biden took office,” he said. “Now, look, people point to COVID. The over-under from that is gone, all right? We’re in a post COVID-era now. We have to deal with reality as it is on the ground.”

New York City is witnessing similar metrics, Mauro said.

“In Alvin Bragg’s jurisdiction and the other prosecutors, we’re up a full third in the major felonies since 2019,” according to the former inspector. “That’s reality. People know it, and they’re not buying this storyline.”
