For the last 24 years, Charlie Voorhees has been planning and calling plays – only now he’ll be doing it for the entire Secaucus School District and not just the high school football team.

Voorhees, a life-long resident of Secaucus, a former Mathematics teacher and, at least until the end of the school year, the former athletic director, was named interim Superintendent of Schools by the Board of Education on Thursday afternoon according to a report on NJ.com.
