There were huge queues on the waterfront as cloudy skies and showers gave way to sun this Easter Saturday.

Large queues formed on Liverpool's waterfront on March 30 as people headed out to make the most of the good weather, which is expected to continue tomorrow with predicted highs of 14C. Lines snaked around the Pier Head as people waited to board the ferry, or have their pictures taken with the famous Beatles statue.

Elsewhere in Liverpool city centre, people were seen making the most of the sun in Liverpool One and beer gardens.

Grey skies are expected to return on Monday, April 1, however, with the Met Office predicting cloudy weather and light rain in the afternoon. This will carry on into Tuesday, with heavy rainfall predicted on Wednesday morning.
