MINERSVILLE, Penn. (WKRC) - Dramatic video showed a father climbing three stories to rescue his neighbor from a house fire.

According to PEOPLE, Oscar Rivera risked his life to save his neighbor from a raging fire.

Inside Edition uploaded shocking video of the incident to its official YouTube channel.

Per the publication, Rivera had been outside playing with his children in the backyard on April 14 when he heard a "boom." Rivera ran to the front of his home and noticed flames coming from his neighbor's residence across the street.

The Morning Call reported that a woman was on a narrow ledge, attempting to pull a man out of the attic window.

"I looked at the guy, he was on top of the roof, like on the window sticking out, saying help me, help me," Rivera told WFMZ.

Rivera told the station that rescuers with the fire department were on the way, but said he worried they wouldn't make it in time. Taking matters into his own hands, Rivera used a ladder to reach the top, per the station.

"My neighbor came and he got the ladder. We put it right there, and then that's when the adrenaline came, and I just started jumping, jumping, jumping," Rivera told the station.

Per the outlet, Rivera made it to the top of the three-story home and pulled the man from the window.

"The smoke blew, so I had to move out of the way, and then that's when I grabbed him. He was burned, and I just pulled him out," Rivera told WFMZ.

Per PEOPLE, firefighters arrived on the scene and rescued the victims, who were then taken to the hospital. Per the publication, Rivera's neighbor suffered critical burns.

"I hope he's okay. I'm praying for him," Rivera told WFMZ.

An eyewitness praised Rivera for "risking his life as his young children stood at the door watching." according to PEOPLE.

The cause of the fire, which damaged six homes in total, remains under investigation, according to WFMZ.
