Metro Vancouver chimney cake truck Praguery will bring its soft serve treats to Downtown Vancouver this spring and summer

Sunnier days are here again, which makes now the perfect time for grabbing an ice cream treat.

Metro Vancouver's Praguery is known for its chimney cakes, a Czech pastry baked on a rod to create a hollow centre, which they fill with soft serve and optional toppings.

Starting Friday, April 12, Praguery will be swirling its crave-worthy sweets from its truck, which will be parked at 900 W Cordova St from 1 to 8 p.m. daily for the spring and summer seasons.

Also hitting the menu are some new chimney cone concoctions:

  • Kinder Bueno: freshly baked cone filled with vanilla soft serve ice cream, Nutella spread, chocolate pearls, milk chocolate, Kinder Bueno pieces and chocolate chips.
  • Ferrero Rocher: freshly baked cone filled with vanilla and hazelnut soft serve ice cream, crunchy chocolate sauce, and Ferrero Rocher truffle on top
  • Salted Caramel: freshly baked cone filled with vanilla soft serve ice cream, salted caramel sauce (made in-house) and topped with crushed pretzels

Praguery began several years ago as a food truck and has established itself in a few busy locations around Metro Vancouver. In addition to their new post near the cruise ship terminal, convention centre, and downtown high-rises, Praguery has spots at McArthur Glen Outlet Mall in Richmond and at the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish. Last year, Praguery operated a temporary stall in White Rock
