State's Attorney Ivan Bates Endorses Mayoral Candidate Sheila Dixon

04/09/2024 — City States Attorney Ivan Bates is throwing his support behind Mayoral Candidate Sheila Dixon to become the next mayor of Baltimore.

It came the same day U.S. Senators Chris Van Hollen and Ben Cardin publicly endorsed Mayor Brandon Scott.

The mayoral election is just over a month away and voters will have to decide which candidate has more promise and has the stronger vision to support Baltimore in the long-term.

Mayoral Candidate, Sheila Dixon, joined FOX45 News to share what it means to have the support of City States Attorney Ivan Bates moving forward, as the race for mayor continues to heat up.

"I'm humbled that States Attorney Ivan Bates is endorsing me," said Dixon. "It's a partnership, and we have to be able to communicate and we've got to be to recognize that everybody has a part and a role in this process in reducing crime."
