HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) - James Madison baseball continues their undefeated month of April, clinching their first Sun Belt conference sweep of the season Sunday afternoon over Appalachian State, 11-5.

JMU would rally back after trailing twice throughout the afternoon. Sophomore Wyatt Piefer would open things up for the Dukes in the fifth inning with a bases clearing double to give JMU a 7-4 lead.

Seven of nine starters for James Madison finished with one hit or more, including a 2-4 performance from Ryan Dooley, who’d bring in two runs as well.

Now 19-12, 6-6 on the season, JMU looks to extend their winning streak to four games April 12, on the road facing Old Dominion. First pitch is scheduled for five p.m.
