The best in MHSAA football in Week 8.

Josh Bogan, St. Clair Shores South Lake: Recorded nine carries for 134 yards and three touchdowns, and compiled 14 tackles in South Lake’s 35-21 defeat at the hands of St. Clair.

Shundean Bridges, Detroit Public Safety: Was 15-for-17 passing for 275 yards and two touchdowns in the victory for Public Safety (7-1) over Mount Clemens.

Austin Brown, Madison Heights Madison: Rushed for 202 yards and one TD on 19 carries, then passed for 209 yards on 15-for-25 passing with four touchdowns in a win over Clintondale. 

C.J. Brown, Walled Lake Western: Rushed for 116 yards and two scores in Western’s 29-19 loss to South Lyon (8-0, 7-0 Lakes Valley Conference).

Henry Brown, Warren Woods Tower: Rushed for 150  yards an a touchdown on 11 carries in a 28-12 win over St. Clair Shores Lake Shore. 

Jacob Butler, Clawson: The senior running back rushed or 134 yards and twp TDs in a 42-0 win over Pontiac.

Drew Collins, Montague: Passed for 214 yards and two touchdowns on 14-of-22 passing in a 42-15 win over Ravenna. 

Julian Davis, Sterling Heights Parkway Christian: Recorded 10 carries for 145 yards and one touchdown in Parkway Christian’s 43-13 victory over Southfield Christian.   

Lance Dixon, West Bloomfield: Rushed for two scores in West Bloomfield’s 27-21 triumph over Oak Park (7-1).

Gabe Doree, Trenton: Had four catches for 143 yards and one touchdown in Trenton’s win vs. Melvindale.

Terrence Ealy, Detroit Central: Was 13-for-16 passing for 318 yards and three touchdowns in Central’s 35-0 win over Detroit Collegiate Prep.

Jack Fairman, Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood: Totaled 13 tackles and one sack, and was 8-for-16 passing for 120 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard.

Christian Gegovic, Utica: Racked up 34 carries for 233 yards and three TDs in Utica’s 34-20 victory vs. Macomb L’Anse Creuse North.

Steve Gilbert, Dearborn Edsel Ford: Logged 15 carries for 98 yards and two scores in Edsel Ford’s 41-22 win over Taylor.

Ian Goins, South Lyon: Carried the ball 18 times for 110 yards and two touchdowns in South Lyon’s defeat of Walled Lake Western (5-3).   

Cannon Hall, Davison: Completed 12-of-17 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed three times for 26 yards and a score in a 63-6 victory vs. Saginaw Arthur Hill.

Ian Hanafee, Southfield Christian: Led the way with 10 tackles, a force fumble and a recovered onside kick in a loss to Parkway Christian.

Luke Harwood, Grosse Ile: Ran for 138 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries for Grosse Ile (8-0, 7-0 Huron) in the Red Devils’ 21-14 win over Riverview (6-2, 5-2 Huron).

Maurice Hutchinson, Sterling Heights Parkway Christian: Totaled eight carries for 67 yards and three touchdowns, plus two catches for 61 yards and a score in Parkway Christian’s beatdown of Southfield Christian.

Jake Irwin, Brandon: Rushed the ball 23 time sfor 124 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Holly. 

Mike Jamerson, Davison: Rushed seven times for 126 yards and three touchdowns in the Cardinals’ win vs. Saginaw Arthur Hill.

Makai Johnson, Madison Heights Madison: Had two interceptions and a fumble recovery in Madison's win over Clintondale. 

Malik Morgan, Romulus: Recorded six tackles, and ran for 106 yards and two touchdowns in Romulus’ 12-8 defeat of Dearborn Heights Annapolis.

Cam Martinez, Muskegon: The quarterback rushed for six touchdowns in a 55-35 win over Mona Shores. 

Mike Nicaj, Brandon: Rushed for three touchdowns and 134 yards on 12 carries in a 50-14 win over Holly. He also added 11 tackles 

Victor Nelson, Detroit Central: Recorded 12 tackles and three sacks in Central’s shutdown of Detroit Collegiate Prep.  

Reggie Nobles, Warren Michigan Collegiate: Had a 72-yard fumble recovery for touchdown, and ran for two scores for Warren Michigan Collegiate (8-0, 4-0 Charter School) in the school’s 34-32 overtime victory over Harper Woods Chandler Park.

Blake Parpart, Southfield Christian: Was 13-of-23 for 256 yards an a touchdown, and rushed for another score in a loss to Parkway Christian. 

Joel Radvansky, Warren Woods Tower: Recorded 18 tackles and one sack in a win Saturday. 

Dan Romano, Royal Oak Shrine: Ran 34 times for 157 yards and two touchdowns in Shrine’s 31-26 triumph over Clarkston Everest Collegiate (7-1).      

T.J. Shier, Warren Woods Tower: Recorded 15 tackles, a sack, and two quarterback hurries, one which led to an interception, in a win over St. Clair Shores Lake Shore. 

Jay Solano, Trenton: Went 12-of-15 through the air for 307 yards and four touchdowns in Trenton’s 41-0 victory over Melvindale.

Bryce Stark, Montague: Rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Ravenna. 

Phillip Stewart, Oak Park: Rushed for 275 yards and three scores in Oak Park’s 27-21 loss to West Bloomfield (6-2).   

Isiah Watts, Detroit Osborn: Threw for 312 yards and three touchdown and rushed for 68 yards in a 46-24 loss to Denby in the PSL playoffs on Saturday. 

Devontae Webb, Detroit Public Safety: Made eight tackles, recorded two interceptions and caught seven balls for 120 yards and a score in Public Safety’s victory vs. Mount Clemens.

Alexander White, Detroit Cody: Finished with 14 rushes for 111 yards, had a fumble recovery for 45 yards and threw a 5-yard, game-winning TD pass in Cody’s 20-14 triumph over Detroit Mumford. Cody (6-2) advances to Detroit PSL B division championship game next Friday at 5 p.m.

Tshawn Wilkes, Detroit Denby: Rushed for 183 yards and five touchdowns on 17 carries, while also getting 32 yards receiving, in a PSL playoff win over Detroit Osborn. 

Torrell Williams, Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood: Intercepted a pass, had a 25-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown and caught four balls for 50 yards and a touchdown in Cranbrook-Kingswood’s victory against Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard.

DeMario Young, Warren Cousino: Ran for 208 yards and two touchdowns for Warren Cousino (1-7) in the school’s 35-20 defeat of Fraser.  

Honorable Mentions

Kobe Anthony, Auburn Hills Avondale: Had a 95-yard interception return for a touchdown and a 41-yard rushing score for Avondale (6-2, 4-2 OAA Blue) in the school’s 45-6 victory over Hazel Park.  

Angelo Basilisco, Macomb Lutheran North: Was 10-for-19 passing for 178 yards and a score for Lutheran North (7-1) in the Mustangs’ 23-17 triumph over North Farmington. He also ran for 111 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.

Sam Johnson III, Walled Lake Western: Was 11-for-22 passing for 223 yards and one touchdown for Walled Lake Western in the Warriors’ loss to South Lyon.

Kyle Naif, Riverview: Rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns in Riverview’s loss to Grosse Ile.

Greg Piscopink, Birmingham Brother Rice: Passed for 121 yards and a touchdown on 10 of 23 passing in Brother Rice's 24-21 win over Orchard Lake St. Mary's. 

Trevor Schornack, Northville: Carried the ball 27 times for 118 yards in Northville’s 13-7 win vs. Novi.

Earle Weaver, Royal Oak: Rushed for 128 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries in a win over Detroit Edison. 

Alex Wells, Utica Ford: Compiled 134 yards and one touchdown on 27 carries for Utica Ford (3-5) in the school’s 35-7 loss to Warren Mott (6-2, 4-1 MAC White).
