ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jamon Holt, 30, for allegedly selling cocaine and possessing a stolen firearm.

Police conducted an investigation that provided evidence that Holt was delivering cocaine on April 8th, according to court documents.

Three days later around 10:30 a.m., the Winnebago County Narcotics Unit followed the suspect’s Black Dodge Durango until he pulled into the parking lot of Mini Mart in the 2900 block of West State Street. When Holt got out of his vehicle, police took him into custody.

The suspect was searched and had cocaine on him, according to officials.

Later that day around 3:43 p.m., authorities conducted a search warrant of a residence in the 200 block of North Day Avenue.

During the search, police said they found cocaine, cannabis, fentanyl, a digital scale and three different firearms.

Holt is being charged with possession of a firearm with a revoked FOID, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm with defaced serial numbers, manufacturing and delivering cannabis, 2 counts of manufacturing and delivering cocaine and manufacturing and delivering fentanyl.
