SJC Health Department warning of measles exposure after Indy eclipse event
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Measles cases are on the rise in the United States, and it’s more important now than ever to make sure you’re vaccinated.
The St. Joseph County Department of Health says that if you traveled to the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis for the solar eclipse on April 8, you were possibly exposed to a person with measles.
Health officials say that there are currently no confirmed measles cases in St. Joseph County; however, those who traveled to Indy for the eclipse should be aware of the possible exposure.
Meantime, St. Joseph County is kicking off a summer vaccination program between April and August. If you or your child get a vaccine at any of the three health department locations, you can enter to win a $100 gift card.
