LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Two robbery suspects from California were arrested on Saturday after crashing into a Las Vegas police vehicle in the southern valley.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers initially responded to Maryland Parkway and Rochelle Avenue on reports of a felony vehicle involved in a robbery in California. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a vehicle stop, but the suspects fled and a pursuit was initiated.

During the pursuit, police say the suspects disregarded a stop sign and collided with a marked patrol vehicle entering the area to assist. Both suspects fled from the vehicle after the crash but were eventually taken into custody.

Officers inside the patrol vehicle were transported to area hospitals to be evaluated for injuries.

The collision remains under investigation by LVMPD’s Traffic Bureau.
