Nifty today ended 32 points higher to reclaim its level above 20-DEMA placed at 22309 and form a small negative candle on Tuesday, which is indicating ongoing range bound movement in the market.
The near-term uptrend status of Nifty remains intact and the short-term trend is choppy. Further consolidation or minor dip could be a buying opportunity. A sustainable move above 22500 could open next upside towards 22800 levels. Immediate support is at 22200 levels, said Nagaraj Shetti of HDFC Securities.

US stocks open higher as more earnings roll in
Wall Street's main indexes opened higher on Tuesday as some growth and chip stocks gained, while investors digested a raft of quarterly earnings updates, ahead of reports from Big Tech later in the week.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 116.1 points, or 0.30%, at the open to 38,356.07. The S&P 500 rose 18.3 points, or 0.36%, at the open to 5,028.85, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 74.2 points, or 0.48%, to 15,525.552 at the opening bell.

FPIs net sellers for second straight day
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) were net sellers for the second straight day at Rs 3,044 crore on Tuesday. DIIs, meanwhile, bought shares worth Rs 2918 crore.
