ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The last time we heard from Sherrone Moore, the first-year Michigan coach was still trying to finalize his staff amid the start of spring practice.
He made it a point of saying then he didn’t want to become the center of attention, opting instead to give his players the spotlight. It’s a strategy born straight out of the Jim Harbaugh playbook, the former Wolverines coach who left in January for the NFL’s Los Angeles Chargers. It was Harbaugh, despite his oftentimes animated, quirky personality, who became known for trying to cut post-game, on-field TV interviews short. He also had weeks where his contractually obligated Monday press conference was dull and uninteresting.
