Be prepared for another cool spring day throughout central Indiana. Temperatures are running about 5-10 degrees cooler compared to Saturday morning. Lows fell to the mid-30s across the state with wind chill values in the upper 20s at times in Indianapolis! Wind speeds will be lighter today, but the northwesterly wind flow will keep temperatures in the 50s this afternoon. Skies are going to be partly cloudy to mostly clear.

A high-pressure system will slide over the Ohio Valley tonight and Monday, which will allow skies to completely clear out. The mostly clear skies, light winds and forecast lows in the mid-30s will contribute to the formation of frost. A Frost Advisory begins at 1 AM and will last through 10 AM Monday. It will be important to cover any sensitive plants already in the ground before heading to bed tonight.

A wind shift will occur by tomorrow, and southerly winds will bring more seasonable air to central Indiana. Highs are going to be milder and reach into the mid-60s on Monday. We’ll start off the workweek on a dry note, but another storm system will bring a chance for scattered rainfall on Tuesday. Temperatures will trend cooler midweek behind the cold frontal passage.
