Actor Christina Hendricks just said “I do” in the Big Easy.
The “Mad Men” star wed her partner of four years George Bianchini, a camera operator, at the historic Napoleon House in the French Quarter on Saturday, April 20.
Hendricks told People Magazine that she chose the New Orleans venue because of the couple’s connection to the city.
“New Orleans is a place that I always loved to go before I met George, and a place that he always loved to go before he met me. And then when we first started dating or meeting up, because we lived across the country from one another, it was the place in the middle,” she said to the outlet.
According to the outlet, the newlyweds took full advantage of their weekend in the city, with a pre-wedding cocktail party at the Soniat House property, followed by a spooky ghost tour in the French Quarter.
On Saturday, 76 guests joined the couple as they said “I do” at the Napoleon House.
Local florist Sharime Kayla helped fill the rustic venue with shades of “plum, blush and chocolate,” along with plenty of New Orleans-inspired gothic lace.
Even the wedding’s menu stayed local, with a dinner of steak, shrimp and grits, and Bananas Foster in lieu of a wedding cake.
Hendricks now joins a list of celebrities who’ve tied the knot in New Orleans, including tennis pro Serena Williams, actor Alexandria Daddario and “Glee” star Darren Criss.
