Bengaluru Bank Holiday; Check When Banks Will Remain Shut In Karnataka In 2024

The next phases of election will be on May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1, 2024. RBI may announce bank holidays as per the voting day in respective states and cities.

Every month, Indian banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays as well as all Sundays apart from National and state-wise holidays, according to the Reserve Bank of India.

Is There a Bank Holiday On 20th April 2024?

It is not a bank holiday today as it is the third Saturday of the month. According to the RBI rules, every month first, every month first and third are the working Saturdays of the month, except any specific festival or bank holidays announced by RBI. However bank branches in Tripura will be shut for the Garia Puja festival today.

Bengaluru Bank Holiday On 26th April

According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar for 2024, on April 26, banks in Bengaluru will be closed due to election day. The Lok Sabha Election of 2024 which has already started commencing with its first phase on April 19, and results set to be announced on June 4, 2024. The next phases of election will be on May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1, 2024. RBI may announce bank holidays as per the voting day in respective states and cities.

Bank Holidays in May 2024

In total, there will be six bank holidays, excluding weekends, in May 2024. In this month, the banks will be closed on May Day (May 1), Rabindranath Tagore’s birth anniversary (May 8), Akshaya Tritiya (May 10), Sikkim Day (May 16), Buddha Purnima (May 23), and Nazrul Jayanti (May 25).
