A 13-year-old boy was shot in Anaheim late Wednesday afternoon and died in a hospital, police said.

The shooting occurred around 4:15 p.m. on the 2800 block of West Ball Road.

Police searched the area and arrested two suspects, a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of murder, and Bryan Gonzalez, 20, from Anaheim, on suspicion of accessory to murder.

The shooting is believed to be gang-related, police said on Thursday.

No further details were released. A bicycle was seen lying on the sidewalk in the taped-off crime scene area, but police would not say if it belonged to the victim. Nor would they say if they believed the boy had been targeted or was caught in gunfire.
